The hubs and I have been talking about painting our guest bedroom for a few months now. We knew it was the perfect room to tackle first and work on our painting skills. The color was inspired by paint we saw at the store, Restoration Hardware. We thought it would go with our black and white bedding, so I snagged a paint chip from Restoration Hardware and off to Home Depot I went. After eying several similar colors and taping several paint chips on the wall for a week, we knew the shade we wanted to go with.
Due to my acknowledged OCD about "cutting in", it was already pre-determined with the hubs that I needed some time to start the cutting in then he could fill in the rest with the roller. I must say, we made a great painting team and only had minimal arguments....in my opinion. It took a a full day to finish the painting and trim but it was done! And looks great! Now I just have to add some bright lime green accents, maybe get a few fun pillows for the bed, some curtains on the windows and maybe a throw rug or two!? Next up, painting the home office.....to be continued...
