Progress has been made on re-vamping the craigslist chairs! Thanks to he hubs, again, for giving up his Sunday afternoon and sanding more chairs. I painted 2 of the sanded chairs today. Here is a sneak peak....
This is the first time I used this paint technique...not sure what to call it exactly but it involved using a "dry-brush" technique and a glaze. The final step (which was not completed yet) is a coat of polyurethane.
Here is what the chairs looked like before......
Stay tuned for further updates!

oh wow, on a whim, I just happened to stumble over here after your comment on YHL to find out you have the same chairs as my moms, which we were going to get rid of. Now I am telling her to hold off! Cannot wait to see your final outcome :) I have now bookmarked you.
Thanks for stopping by my blog Stef! I can't wait to finish these chairs (painting and recovering the seats) and share the results. It's amazing what a little paint and elbow grease can do. Def do not get rid of your moms chairs....paint them! Good luck and let me know how they turn out!
Thanks for stopping by! You totally have to tell me if you make the pillow! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me :) What great chairs, can't wait to see how they turn out. They completely look like the PB ones!
BTW, your blog is insanely cute, and I LOVE your title!!!

Shelley, thanks for stopping by my blog! I plan on making that pillow for sure. I just have to figure out where I will put it and what colors I should go with. I may have some questions along the way....I am an amateur sewer! And thanks for the compliments about my blog. I am learning as I go!
